ISO the perfect vegetarian burger

Tonight, I made the Vegetarian Black Bean Burgers from the Pampered Chef Cookbook (sorry, no pics, they were good). I know that vegetarian burgers can be very versatile including ingredients like veggies, black beans, oatmeal, bread crumbs, seasonings, etc. I think I am going to work on finding the best veggie burger that I can. For the record, here was the recipe for tonights burgers.

1 can black beans, drained, rinsed and mashed
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/3 c. whole kernel corn
1/4 c thick and chunky salsa
1 crushed garlic clove
2 T. chopped cilantro
1/4 t. salt
1/8 t. ground black pepper
1/2 c. unseasoned dry bread crumbs
2 egg whites, lightly beaten

1. Mix all the ingredients together. Form into 4 round patties, about 1/2 inch thick.
2. Heat large skillet over medium heat until hot. Lightly spray pan with non-stick cooking spray; cook patties 6-8 minutes until lightly browned, turning once during cooking.
3. Serve on buns...or not. Top with sour cream and salsa.
